Kampo is the Japanese interpretation of Chinese herbal medicine, tracing back to Chinese medicine concepts that entered Japan sometime between the 7th and 9th centuries. The word “Kampo” literally means “the way of the Han Chinese.”

I am part of a limited group of Kampo practitioners practicing in the United States, and I studied directly with Nigel Dawes, L.Ac., a leading authority in the field.
