Chinese Herbal Medicine in Midtown

Kampo is Japan’s adaptation of Chinese herbal medicine, developed from Chinese medicine principles that were transmitted to Japan during the 7th to 9th centuries. Those early teachings eventually grew into a disciplined, well-structured system centered on standardized herbal diagnosis and carefully guided treatment choices. The term “Kampo” literally means “the way of the Han Chinese.”

As a Kampo practitioner in the United States, I am part of a relatively small community, with formal training under Nigel Dawes, L.Ac., a recognized leader in Kampo practice and education.
